10/25/21: October has been a busy month for Team RPF. We hosted a show with Silver Leaf Farm that was a huge success, and we had four riders competing at the October Warhose Event Series. The first show of the month was RPF's own Fall-O-Ween Horse Show, where we had 8 riders and 11 horses competing all while keeping the day moving. Courtney took a lot of those rides with her green ponies that are in for training. She took Sherry Roberge's mare Javalena who gave an excellent performance in her halter classes, and a flat class with 11 other horses without a second thought. Congrats Sherry on your wonderful mare who is now a show pony. Courtney also took Lorin McNulty's Aspen for some halter classes, which the judge loved, she won two of the three classes. Courtney also took Christy's and Joe Gavin's hannoverian that is for sale, Great Expectations, in the hunter division where they won a good portion of their classes, and they were division champs and high point of the day for the adults. Courtney's last mount was her seasoned mare Reagan who was able to come play in halter, saddle seat, and fun classes. Courtney also brought along 2 of her students Izzy and Alexa on Golde. Izzy was able to take part in her second show and worked hard in all of her classes and take care of Golde throughout the day. Alexa was able to share Golde with Izzy at her very first show as she was in the lead line classes. RPF is so happy to welcome Alexa and her family to the show team, and is so proud of these two girls at their first and second shows! You both did amazing! RPF also brought Morgan and Pinky who worked hard in their hunter, halter, and English classes for the reserve high point of the day for the adults! Morgan we are so proud of your hard work. Addison and Ethan also joined everyone for the fun competing in hunters, show hack, and fun classes for a reserve high point for the junior riders. Congratulations Addison! The McLaurin girls also joined us for the fun, and did well in their classes Sumner on Rocky, and Sarah Beth on her new mare Tula! Congrats Ladies. Finally, Abigail Cornell made her way back to the show ring after spending some time making records in pole vaulting with both of her gelding, Max and Tater. Both boys had champion titles in the English division and Western division with a reserve. Abby and Max were also the Junior High Point for the day! What a way to have a come back! Congrats Abby. This is just the accomplishments of the riders at the Fall-O-Ween show not Warhorse the very next weekend. At Warhorse, Courtney, Rebecca, Addison, and Morgan hit the ring again for the last time before championships. Courtney on the Smith's mare Pearl in the maiden division with fifteen horses deep finished with a 33 for a fourth place finish. Congrats to the Smith's and Courtney! Rebecca and Golde scaled back to GAG to make him a little more comfortable jumping, and finished on their dressage score of 23.80 for a first place finish in a class 22 deep. Morgan and Pinky also competed at GAG with Rebecca and did wonderful getting a 33.10 for a 5th place finish out of 22! Congrats you two ladies on a fabulous weekend. The final ride of Warhorse weekend goes to Addison and Ethan who scaled back up to begginer novice after dislocating her knee earlier in the season. They placed 2nd in a competitive class that was 14 deep with a score of 32.60. Congrats Ads! RPF SportHorses is proud of all of our riders at both Fall-O-Ween and Warhorse. We are now gearing up for some local shows to take some of the other training horses to for NCDCTA year end awards and Warhorse Championships where Courtney, Rebecca, Addison, and Morgan are all qualified for, Good Luck Ladies.

11/3/21: Courtney Bauer amazes RPF SportHorses once again. Over the Halloween weekend she took the Smith's mare and Lisa George's gelding to two shows. The first show was at Heather Ridge Farm where Good Girl Pearl did a Maiden Horse Trial and placed first in her class on her dressage score of 28.25. Ace of Spades returned to the show ring in the Western Dressage Intro Division. He did a wonderful job getting three first place ribbons in all of his classes. A 70 in his first test, a 71 in the second test, and a 68 on his last test of the day! Both horses then went to Buckhorn on Sunday for somke more fun. Pearl went back out for a maiden combined test and finished on her dressage score of 32.3 placing first in the class. Pearl was also announced as the Maiden Combined Training Series Champion for the Buckhorn Series! Congrats you guys on this big win! She also did a Beginner Novice schooling round, where she did fabulous. Ace returned to the ring for another three western dressage test getting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd behind himself as the show combined all of the western test into one class. He scored a 70.50, 69.31, and a 66.94. RPF SportHorses is so proud of Courtney and her accomplishments with these two horses. We are also thankful that their owners trust us to take them and show them around the county. Other exciting news of the week is that Ace has a new brother as Lisa bought Vichyssoise "Fishy" and took him home over the weekend! Congrats to the Smith's on their wins, and Lisa on hers and getting her new guy! We are so happy for you guys!

Next up on our showing list is Warhorse Championships!

11/15/21:This past weekend was the War Horse Event Series Championship, and RPFSporthorses had a wonderful time. Addison, Courtney, Morgan, and Rebecca had a good time schooling Friday afternoon learning their courses, and fine tuning some dressage. Saturday morning the team was up bright and early to be there for Courtney and Pearl's Maiden dressage test. Courtney and Pearl had a beautiful dressage tests that scored them a 25 to sit in 4th before cross country. They finished cross country double clear and moved up to third where they sat over night before going into stadium Sunday morning. Sunday morning Courtney and Pearl had a double clear stadium round that held them at 3rd for the Championship out of 34 horses, and missing 1st by 3 points. Courtney, Pearl, and the Smith's won some awesome prizes, and RPF Sporthorses could not be any prouder of this pair. Courtney also showed Lisa George's gelding Ace in three western classes. After overcoming some ansiness becaise he had to wait for the judge to get the right test, he had some nice moments. He placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd behind himself scoring in the 60's. Good job Courtney and Ace! Morgan and Pinky competed in the GAG championships and had a good dressage test scoring her a 31.3 sitting her in 7th. However, she moved up to 6th after a double clear cross country. Morgan then had another beautiful stadium round that was double clear that pushed her to a 4th place finish on her dressage score out of 27 horses, missing 1st by six points. Morgan and Pinky also got some amazing prizes as a reward for her hard work! We are also very proud of you Morgan. Rebecca and Golde also went into the GAG division and had a good dressage test scoring them a 30 to sit in 4th before cross country. They had a double clear cross country that pushed them up to third before stadium. Unfortunately, Sunday morning they had a miscommunication at fence 7 and they pulled a rail which added 4 points onto their score and bumped them to 9th place out of 27. Finally, our last pair was the lovely Addison and Ethan. They had a nice dressage test that gave them a score of 28.60 putting them in 7th place after dressage. However, in cross country Ethan gave a hard spook and Addison injured her knee that she dislocated back in June that cuased them to have a refusal at their next fence. But she kept it together and finished the course. She then decided it would be best to withdraw from competition so she could save her knee from more damage. RPF SportHorses were also competing for a team award throughout the War Horse Season. Their team "Success Express" which consisted of Courtney, Addison, and Rebecca. The girls had to work together to pull off their 2nd place win with Courtney riding a mare not designed for eventing, Addison was out for her knee injury for 3 shows, and Golde was out for his lameness issues for a show. RPF SportHorses is so proud of this team that over came their challenges this season. RPF SportHorses is also so thankful for our support system of family, friends, owners, and our vets and farrier that keeps our horses happy on work! The show season is winding down, and we are down to one show left. Looking forward to the holiday show at Heather Ridge, and then we are done for the season.
