Rebecca White rides her Arabian gelding Fool's Golde in dressage and they used to event with one another. Golde had made a successful recovery after a suspensory injury in 2021. Before the injury, they were working towards obtaining their USDF Bronze Medal. Their show career together includes Champion and Reserve titles on the Arabian Region 12 and 15 in the Dressage, Hunters, and Sport Horse divisions. Along with several Horse of the Year titles with NCDCTA and EDCTSA.  Golde is used in the lesson program while Rebecca works on her graduate degree in Counseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and growing her family.

Addison Pierce competes on Ethan, a 15-year-old Morgan. In 2019 they competed at gag winning 1st place in Warhorse championships, and NCDCTA champion. In 2020, they moved up to Maiden and won 3rd at championships, and received Horse of the Year, as well as their first level scores towards their bronze medal. This year started out super with a win at Beginner Novice, but unfortunately had a fall which has put her out for a few months, but they are both eager to return to the show ring later this year! Addison is also deeply involved in JROTC and attends early college as a sophomore.

sherry r team page.jpg

Sherry Roberge is a lifelong friend of Kelly's and now has her gorgeous Andalusian mare, Javalena, in for training. Sherry used to compete often with her beloved Dino, and now Sherry occasionally shows with the team when she is in town on Rebecca's horse Golde. Hopefully, come back to the show ring once she moves back to NC soon! RPF SportHorses is so happy to have Sherry on the team, as she is our voice of reason often, and we love her beautiful mare who has officially made her show debut at the Fall-O-Ween show!

smith favorite.jpg

Sherry Smith brought her spotted draft mare Good Girl Pearl "Pearl" at the end of 2020 for training with the Bauer's as she gets comfortable with Pearl. Pearl is currently competing with Courtney at Maiden Level eventing with her lowest score being a 21. Pearl is also schooling second and third-level dressage movements. Sherry also has achievements under her belt. Last year she was Reserve Horse of the Year with a horse she was leasing named Dustan. Sherry hopes to be in the show ring with Pearl soon competing at GAG.

Madison Dwyer and her 11-year-old half Arabian/ Half Dutch Harness Horse, Mercury Rising KE. Madison has done a lot of the training with Mercury herself with help from Kelly Bauer. He has successfully competed at regional and National Arabian Shows, receiving 1 Unanimous National Championship and 6 Reserve National Championships in dressage and sport horse. Madison and Mercury recently received her USDF Bronze Medal and hope to continue to climb the ladder to receive their silver and gold together

Izzy Merchant competes on Geronimo, a 21-year-old Paint. They were NCDCTA's Horse of the Year for Introductory Dressage, and Intro Western Dressage. In the upcoming season, they are excited for Training Level Dressage and GAG Eventing.

morgan favorite.jpg

Morgan Fryrear and Mr. Wesley (Pinky Poo) have made a great team. When Morgan was first introduced to Pinky, she was mourning the loss of her first horse Raegous which Pinky reminded her much of. Once her heart had time to heal, she was able to accept Pinky and bought him from Kelly Bauer. Both being stubborn and strong-willed had to work together to communicate and so now they can enjoy each of their rides that usually are very interesting especially when riding his big athletic jump. Morgan and Pinky was the third-place Horse of the Year in 2019 in the Green as Grass division. Due to circumstances unrelated to Pinky, they were not able to compete in the 2020 season, but they are looking forward to entering the show ring again in Summer 2021. Morgan is excited and so proud of Pinky for his excellent end to the 2021 show season as they placed 4th in the War Horse Eventing Championships in November of 2021.

sarah beth team page.jpg

Sarah Beth McLaurin and her 11-year-old Quarter Horse cross mare Princess Tiger Lilly (Lilly) has been competing with RPF SportHorses since 2018. The pair has a strong focus on both eventing and dressage. In the 2018 and 2019 show season, Sarah Beth and Lilly competed successfully at Green as Grass at the War Horse Event Series. However, her focus shifted for the 2020 season to dressage. She competed at training level and became the 2020 Champion Horse of the Year for the JR/YR division. They also did a few eventing shows that put them as the 5th place Horse of the Year at Maiden Level. Sarah Beth and Lilly are excited to continue to compete in the upcoming season as Sarah Beth brings along her new 11 year old Arabian Saddlebred cross named EA La La Palooza (Tula)for both dressage and eventing.

sumner team page.jpg

Sumner McLaurin and her 22-year-old Arabian gelding, GHA Sagas Fortune (Rocky), have been working together since 2019. Sumner shared Princess Tiger Lilly with her sister Sarah Beth until she was given Rocky. Sumner and Rocky ride and compete with RPF SportHorses in both the dressage and eventing circuits, and they are very successful in the JR/YR division. Last November, Sumner and Rocky competed at the NCDCTA Autumn Leaves Championships at Intro Level and was the Champion for Intro level JR/YR division. They were also named the 2020 NCDCTA Green as Grass Champion, and the 2020 NCDCTA Intro Level Reserve Champion for the JR/YR divisions. Sumner and Rocky are excited about the 2022 season.

valentina team page_edited.jpg

Valentina Roberts is a new rider to RPF SportHorses, and she is lessoning under Courtney Bauer on the various lesson horses on the property. Valentina is hoping to be able to attend one of the horse shows this year while expanding her knowledge on the foundations that she has learned at RPF SportHorses.

abby team page_edited.jpg

Abigail Cornell and her OTTB Rocket Richie "Max" have been competing with RPFSporthorses since 2018. She initially began showing with her precious Penelope, but her drive to move to Training Level eventing resulted in her buying Max. Over the two years, Abby and Max have competed in eventing ranging from Maiden to Novice always placing in the ribbons. Abby is looking at moving Max to training level this 2021 season while she works towards getting her scores for her Bronze Medal with USDF. In Abby's spare time she has set some new personal and school records jumping over 10ft in a pole vaulting competition. Abby is also an actress in several films.

claire buck favorite.jpg

Claire Buck and her 10-year-old thoroughbred mare Fancy's Secret has been a team for approximately five years, showing with RPF Sport Horses since 2019. They mostly have been eventing with the team at the local Warhorse Event Series. They first began their eventing career in 2019 when they won their first event. In the 2020 season, they won the TIP Award at the August show and then placed 6th in the November Championships amongst all Maiden riders in both the Professional, Adult and Junior riders. The two will not be showing as often as Claire is a freshman at Lees McRae for Pre-Veterinary Medicine, Wildlife Rehabilitation, and Business

danielle team page.jpg

Danielle Douglas and her pony Duke achieved a lot in their years of showing. Duke was not always the easiest to compete with, but Danielle always gave it her all at every show. Danielle and Duke mainly evented with RPF Sport Horses in the Green as Grass division. In 2019, Danielle and Duke were Reserve Champion Horse of the Year with NCDCTA. Again in 2020, Danielle and Duke were the 5th place Horse of the Year in the Green as Grass division. While Danielle does not show like she used to, she still spends time with the team at the farm and volunteering on show weekends at the Carolina Horse Park. In 2020, she was the Junior Volunteer of the Year at Carolina Horse Park.

Lawson Wasmuth has been an active member of RPFSporthorses since 2016. She started with Kelly with her precious Morgan gelding Ethan, that Addison Pierce is competing (See Addison's bio above) at Beginner Novice. She moved Ethan up to Novice with a few training combined tests. Lawson also got her first-level dressage scores for her bronze medal with USDF in 2018. She also has competed on her lovely Saddlebred gelding Ballroom Blitz "Red". She took Red through the levels and took home ribbons in every show. Recently, Lawson has been showing on her new Appendix mare Krym Brulay at training level placing in classes full of professionals. Lawson has several titles and wins under her belt with all three of her mounts, and is succeeding in her goals as an event rider with her event trainer Aaron Hill where she has become a working student. RPF Sporthorses is so proud of Lawson and her achievements with all of her mounts, and hopes for continued success as she follows her dreams!

kennedy favorite.jpg

Kennedy Darling has been a student from up-down lessons to summer camps, winter Friesian fantasy camp, the year of the rotten pony, (Duke), Fox hunting thru Beginner Novice Eventing as well as achieving her scores at First level towards her bronze medal on Cloud Nine with RPFsporthorses. Last year alone Kennedy was Beginner Novice Junior Reserve Champion with NCDCTA! After much evaluation on Kelly’s part, and wanting only the best for Kennedy, Kelly suggested they find a new coach. A tough thing Kelly assures you as a trainer. We hope you and your new trainer, Caitlin Romeo, can put the pieces together for cross country that we could not help you find. We have great expectations that you will hold steady in your dressage! You have a great foundation and we expect nothing less than those low 20 scores in the future. Mind your manners, work hard and follow your dreams. We hope your experience in Vermont as a working student is a fun and fruitful one. Onward and upward for you dear girl. We all wish you the very best!

isabell team page.jpg

Isabell Douglas and her beloved BW achieved a bunch of the goals that Isabell set for them before she lost BW to cancer in May 2020. Before his passing, Isabell and BW were successful on both the dressage and the eventing circuit. In 2018 BW and Isabell were the 3rd place Horse of the Year at Intro level Dressage and 6th place Horse of the Year at Maiden. BW and Isabell were also the Reserve Champion Intro Dressage at the NCDCTA Dressage Championships for the JR/YR division. Then again in 2019, Isabell and BW were the 4th place Horse of the Year at Maiden and 6th place Horse of the Year at Beginner Novice.
